Have you ever been accused of being too sensitive?
Are you easily hurt emotionally? Are you able to tune into the attitudes and feelings of others?
Maybe this overwhelms you, making you want to avoid parties or big crowds.
Your sensitivity may show up as allergies to food or detergents or even the air you breathe.
Is loud music offensive?
What about the feel of certain fabrics? Are strong odors overpowering?
You may have nodded your head to some of these. You probably feel your sensitivity is a problem. But do you know what?
You are perfect.
Together, we are the canaries in the coal mine.
Our sensitivities and "too-muchness" signal that things aren't right. In fact, things haven’t been right for a while.
We have been living in an age of insensitivity. And insensitive types have harmed the earth so much that it's no longer conducive to human health. Or the health of any living thing on the planet, for that matter.
People who are tuned out or thick-skinned will not make things better. They will continue to run rough-shod through society.
If you're numbing your superpowers with alcohol or drugs, you can't help us either.
Are you ready to transform your sensitive nature from a weakness to your greatest strength?
The world needs more tuned-in people who see, hear and feel the alarm bells. Our hands will build the new earth.
Earth Day is this Friday, April 22.
I’d love to hear your plans for building the new earth. Hit reply or send me an email at hello@theblissbeneath.com.
