Have you ever thought of a friend you haven't heard from in a long time, and then that person calls you out of the blue?
Or you have a hunch so strong, and you're convinced the premonition will happen. And then it does.
Did you ever know something deep inside, and you're not sure why or how you know it. Yet, you know it to be true.
I've always felt connected to an old boyfriend energetically. Even though we hadn't spoken in twenty years, I experienced a quiet knowing.
It turns out he had felt the connection, too. Twenty-six years after we broke up, we got married. We both always knew.
Intuition is so quiet yet powerful that its wisdom overpowers our thinking brain. It reveals itself in crazy ways, like that knot in your stomach or chills down your spine. But we ignore its whisper.
We don't listen to The Knowing (as author Glennon Doyle calls it) because we don't trust it. What if it's wrong?
We are used to relying on our rational brains. We think we can think ourselves out of a paper bag. But we all know that's not true.
Our Knowing needs exercise like a muscle. You can practice Knowing.
Could you intuit spring if you didn't own a calendar?
Could you sense the shift from winter to spring without seeing the budding trees? What if you couldn't smell the daffodils or hear the birds singing?
Could you connect to the universal energy that is spring? You are that same energy.
Close your eyes, take some conscious breaths, and just be.
Can you feel that?
