Inspirational Women’s Voices Take Center Stage (Plus One Brave Man)
Bonus gift: some sloppy Valentine smooches from Spike and Polly.
I had something completely different in mind to post today. The story flowed out of me, but then it got stuck. To finish it off, I journaled last night. Man, oh man, was that ever a good idea! So many memories bubbled up. Really good things, and I realized my work was far from done. Instead of rushing to finish today, I will keep chewing on my essay.
For today's newsletter, I'll fill you in on what other stuff I've been up to. I started recording a podcast where I talk to AMAZINGGGGG people doing inspirational work in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Role models for people in the third chapter are hard to find, and I want you to get a chance to hear their stories.
I even interviewed a couple of ladies still in their 40s. Let's call the younger folks ‘advanced’ for their age--spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. Plus, it’s my show, and I can interview whomever I want!
All interviewees are women except one. Yeah, that's on purpose. I am tired of hearing the male voice on every topic under the sun and want to emphasize what womenfolk have to say.
I plan to wrap up the interviews by the end of February and release podcasts and YouTube videos in March. This way, both listeners and viewers will be satisfied.
The thoughts and ideas of my guests will inspire you. You'll also learn more about me, although that wasn't the intent. You'll discover that I say "um" a lot and that maybe I'm not the best interviewer (yet).
But done is better than perfect.
On this day, dedicated to love, embrace yourself completely. No one's perfect. Aren’t you tired of pretending that you are?
Don't fake anything. I ❤️ you just the way you are. Have a great Valentine's Day!
I cannot wait to hear everyone's interviews!
Love your article today, Ilona. Says it all - just do it - don't sweat the small or big stuff - done is better than perfect.
I have been hearing this a lot lately, guess the Universe is gently reminding me I don't have to be perfect for people to like me, or even love me.
Pretty cool.
Love the Harry Met Sally video - boy that was a long time ago and yet their discussion still rings true today.
Happy Valentines, Awesome One ♥️
