I am doing my happy dance because Labor Day is days away. School is a’starting. That means there will be a lot fewer people and dogs in my little beach town.
About the dogs.
Vacationers bring them to their rentals, making my walks with Polly tumultuous. They let their dogs loose in the park or allow small children to hold the leashes of powerful dogs. Dogs escape their yards or lunge at us from open car windows.
The AirBnb across the way permits furry friends, which means there are daily barking festivals.
I appreciate the transition to local summer and getting back to quiet walks with Polly.
Even though I'm not in school or have students in my household, I’m feeling the itch to shift my routine. This change comes naturally with the shorter days and falling leaves.
How do you embrace the energy of autumn?
I, for one, am going to resume teaching yoga classes online. I’d appreciate your input on what to offer.
Click here for a short three-question survey to let me know your yoga preferences. No need to take it if you're not interested in attending online classes.
I no longer have my Offering Tree website. That means there will be a new way to sign up for classes and workshops. I’m still figuring out the best way to do that.
You can always reach me here on Substack (just hit reply) or by email at hello@theblissbeneath.com.
In other news, I will no longer be running a monthly Book Club. I have passed the baton to a couple of members. If you'd like to be a part of an online book club, reply to this newsletter, and I'll hook you up!
If you’re looking for more Substack newsletters to read, I have some recommendations on my homepage.
