A lifelong friend used a phrase in a conversation we were having years ago that I've adopted for myself...and the older I get, the more I use it..."People! That's where I draw the line!"
At 20+ years past menopause, I still remember my big ear-to-ear grin when I walk past the sanitary pad/tampon display at the supermarket. “Nope, don’t need those anymore!”
Melanie has struck gold with the "We Do Not Care" Club. She's brilliant and her fans are absolutely in love with what she's doing--me included. Great post, Ilona.
At 66, I only have a few fucks left to give so I save them for what really matters. The rest of them are on their own! I'm a card-carrying member of the WDNCC.

Check her out, and oh, please don’t skip the comments. They are pure gold"
I have been feisty and a member of WDNC since my 20’s. I have actually mellowed in my 60’s. I think it’s mostly because I don’t want to waste energy on people and things that no longer matter to me. My daughter in her 40’s is a card carrying member of the WDNC club. Wonder where she got that from? 😉

Cheers to drawing those lines with a Sharpie marker! Thanks for sharing the wisdom of the sages.

I was really happy about that, too. Took forever until I got to that point though. I was 54.
55 for me!
While I'm past past this age, the sentiment remains true. I absolutely love the 'We Do Not Care Club' and how she has created a movement. Fabulous.
When I turned 50, I began saying, 'I'm 50 and I'm frickin' free!'

Glad to have found a fellow WDNCC member. Let’s get this party started!
I love it! This explains so much of how I have been feeling lately at 45. 😂
Welcome to the club, Liz!
She's on TikTok too!!

Glad to hear you raised a daughter who embraces the WDNCC community. I’m sure the Apple did not fall far from the tree.

It’s great that Melani is uniting us across social media platforms. It’s gaining momentum as it spreads.
